The (9th) Journey to the Himalayas from 10 to 26 October 2026, organized by Sacchidanandaprem and his Association, is more than just a trip; it is an invitation to embark on a transformative spiritual adventure. This journey takes you to some of the most sacred sites in the Himalayan region, blending natural beauty with profound spiritual practices. Led by Spiritual Master Sacchidanandaprem Acharya Swamin, this immersive retreat is designed to awaken your inner potential, deepen self-awareness, and inspire a holistic approach to life. It’s a unique opportunity to experience the joy of pure consciousness, the bliss of your infinite nature, and the tranquillity of the majestic Himalayas. Itinerary
Rishikesh (Days 1-5)
Your spiritual journey begins in Rishikesh, a sacred city nestled along the banks of the Ganges River. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of this holy place by visiting ancient temples, participating in the evening Ganga Aarti, and exploring the serene sites of Kunjapuri, Neelkantha, and Jhilmil Cave. You will also have the opportunity to bathe in the sacred waters of the Ganges at Ram Gufa and visit the cave of Sage Vashishta.
Devaprayag (Days 6-7)
Next, you will travel to Devaprayag, the confluence of the Alakananda and Bhagirathi Rivers, where they merge to form the holy Ganges River. Surrounded by majestic peaks, this sacred site offers a unique opportunity to meditate by the riverbank and take a purifying dip in its waters. You will also visit the Raghunath Ji Temple and perform ritual for getting rid of Karma influences.
Chopta Mountain Ranges (Days 8-10)
Your journey will then take you to the serene beauty of the Chopta Mountain Ranges. Deoria Tal, a picturesque lake nestled at an altitude of 2,438 meters, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. You will also embark on a trek to the peak of Tunganath and Chandrashila, reaching an altitude of 3,690 meters, where you’ll encounter one of the highest Shiva temples in the world. Additionally, you’ll visit the sacred site of Adi Badri, a part of the Panch Badri pilgrimage circuit.
Mahavatar Babaji Cave, Dwarahat, and Jageshwar (Days 11-13)
The itinerary includes a visit to the Mahavatar Babaji Cave, a place of immense spiritual significance. You will also explore the sacred Jageshwar Temple, renowned for its ancient powerful energic group of temples.
Kainchi Dham and Mukteshwar (Days 14-16)
Your journey concludes with visits to Kainchi Dham, a spiritually charged place associated with Neem Karoli Baba, and Mukteshwar, a picturesque hill station known for its serene temples and stunning views of the Himalayas.
Daily Routine
Each day begins with personal sadhana and a wholesome breakfast, followed by visits to nearby sacred sites. Afternoons are dedicated to meditation sessions or spiritual rituals. Evenings are filled with personal consultations and group discussions.
For lunch and dinner, you can choose from various local restaurants, with budget-friendly meal options around €3-5.
Accommodation will be in a dormitory setting, sharing rooms with 2-4 or more people, depending on the location.
Registration
Registration for the Himalayas Journey opens on February 15th, 2026. The cost per person is €1,500, which covers the retreat, breakfast, accommodation, local transportation. Return flights to New Delhi are not included. However, we can assist you in finding affordable flights through our partner travel agency, indeviatravels.com. Participants should book their return flight for 27 November. You can choose any time that day, including early morning, if you prefer not to stay longer in India.

After receiving a non-refundable €800 deposit via bank transfer, you will receive a registration confirmation within two business days.
Please note that in case of travel restrictions, the journey will be postponed, and your deposit will be held for the rescheduled trip. Travel insurance is not included; please arrange it independently.

Journey Guide
For your journey, we recommend bringing a warm jacket, comfortable warm t-shirts or sweatshirts, pants, a woolen cap, and a scarf. Additionally, pack a small flashlight, sturdy trekking shoes, and a personal medical kit. Don’t forget to bring a few pairs of white clothes. Please avoid bringing a trolley bag or suitcase; a backpack is the best option for travel. White cotton yoga clothing is available for purchase in Rishikesh for €5-10.
The weather conditions vary, with daytime temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures can drop to 5 to 10 degrees Celsius.
For visa requirements, you can apply for an e-visa valid for 1 year within 48 hours by visiting this link. If you find the online application process challenging, we can assist you for a fee of €15. Requests for this service can be sent to info@sacchidanandaprem.org.
AGRA TRIP EXTENSION 28–30 OCTOBER 2026
For those who wish to extend their stay in India, we are offering an optional trip to Agra—home of the iconic Taj Mahal.
Located about 230 km from New Delhi on the banks of the Yamuna River, Agra is famed for the Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum often called the “Crown of the Palace.”
The additional cost is €175, covering:
- All sightseeing (including the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort)
- Transportation
- Breakfast
- All Accommodation
Participants should book their return flight for the late night of 29 October or 30 October. (If you wish to stay longer in India, please follow your own departure date instead.)
